PASIR GUDANG (Name of a place)」「Duration: 2'54""」「Pasir Gudang is the name of a fishing village which has now prospered into a port where ships from all over the world stop to load and unload cargoes. Its sheltered bay and deep clear water has long attracted the attention poets who have written numerous verses called the ""Pantun"" about it. In this song Kamariah Noor, one of the Malaysia's celebrated folk singers sings some of the verses to a very old folk tune.」、演奏者紹介に「HAMZAH DOLMAT and his Folk Group[下線付]」「Hamzah Dolmat is the most celebrated Malaysian folk violinist who has travelled to many parts of the world and throughout South-East Asia to provide a taste of Malaysian music to people whose ears have not been accustomed to it. His band consists of a violin, two hand drums and a gong. At times he also uses the accordion and also the flute in order to enhance his performance. He is now residing in Sabah, one of the states in Malaysia trying to train local musicians to follow his footsteps. He comes from a family of musicians and has made several recordings of Malaysian folk music. His style of playing is considered to be interpretative of Malaysian way of musicianship in which a song is never played the same way twice.」「KAMARIAH NOOR[下線付]」「Kamariah Noor is Hamzah Dolmat's sister whose rendition of Malaysian folk songs brought her fame. Singing with her brother's band most of the time, Kamariah began singing at an early age. As the queen of Malaysian folk songs she has also travelled extensively.」
