It is made of wood. Turks have carried their "bağlama"s with themselves while they emigrated to Anatolia from Uralo-Altaic steps. "Bağlama"s are constituted in the following parts:body (resonance box), arm (long fretted handle), metal strings, and tuning keys. According to their dimensions and sound ambitus, "bağlama"s are classified into three main groups:i- Jura (the smallest "soprano" size of the family), ii- Bağlama (the middle "alto" size), iii- Divan Saz (the biggest "bass" size).との記述あり。
