Iso-bushi (Seashore Song)」「This is a boatman's song popular around the city of Mito in Ibaraki Prefecture in eastern part of Japan just north of Tokyo. Located close to Edo (present Tokyo), Mito and Edo in the Edo Period were linked by frequent ship services. It is said that, when two ships passed each other on the sea, this song was sung to the accompaniment of ship-side drumming to see if the other was also a ship from Mito. This song also became a drinking party song later, but Miss Yuko Fukuda's song presented on the tape here retains the style of the original boatman's song to a considerable extent.」と記載。
