- 曲目解説6枚目に「Traditional singing in Gaelic is very different from English; it has a free rhythm style and is generally unaccompanied and good singers can vary the musical decoration from verse to verse. The songs are not usually narrative ballads which tell a definite story in a precise sequence of verses. They are more in the nature of lyrics which reflect an emotional reaction to an event and each verse is an independent statement in itself.」「The song we are going to hear is a lamentation by a woman living in Boston for her three brothers who were drowned near Trá Bán (The White Strand) in their native Connemara in the West of Ireland. They were lost when their currach (canoe) sprang a leak, filled with water and sank which shows that even these little light boats were not always safe. The singer is one of Ireland's best traditional singers in the old style and comes from the area mentioned in the song.」「"My curse on the currachs (canoes) and my blessing on the big boats; / My curse on the canoes over there in the White Strand. / Their canoe began to leak and take in water; / And so my three beautiful brothers were drowned.」「My blessing on you my brothers whose bodies, alas, have not come ashore; / I would gladly get a carpenter to make coffins for you; The young women of the village would chant a lament for you; / And your bodies would not be tossed hither and thither between the rocks.」「CAITLÍN MAUDE[下線付]」「CURRACHAÍ NA TRÁ BÁINE.」「(The canoes of the White Strand.)」「2'19".」と記載。
