- 曲目解説１～２枚目に「MUSI[下線付]」「The river plays a significant role for the people living in the region across which it is flowing and at the same time it has its influence upon the various aspects of the life of the people there. In the river area of the Musi -- one of the big rivers in Indonesia -- such an influence can be discerned, among others, in one of the people's arts called SENJANG (a combination of song and dance). Senjang is usually performed in times of festivities (wedding days, observance of holidays), or in welcoming honourable guests. On such an occasion, boys and girls would dance in groups while exchanging recitals of the "pantun" poems. Each one would arrange lines of poetry (called "pantun") impromptu, to be addressed to his or her "opponent" and vice versa. / In the following couplets, serving as an example, one would sense the influence of the river on their daily life. Unconsciously, they have produced "pantuns" that have a scent of "water.
