- 曲目解説４～５枚目に「A German folksong -- that's easy enough to say. It's considerably more difficult to explain precisely what a folksong is or what has made it a folksong. Attempts have frequently been made to define the characteristics peculiar to folksongs, by separating such songs into different categories. But it soon becomes clear that separating them into, for example, sailors' songs, love songs, workers' songs or peasants' songs doesn't in fact provide a good criterion for answering the basic question. But it should at least be possible to define the difference between a folksong and a composed song. The next songs will help us with this definition. It is the song -- famous the world over -- of the Loreley on the Rhine, sung now by Roswitha Scheer.」「4)」「H. Heine/Fr. In fact, with his critical, aloof lyrics he was really being rather mocking towards what he considered the overly sentimental, romantic enthusiasm for the fabled Loreley. And even the composer Friedrich Silcher certainly had no intention of turning those lyrics into an enduring folksong. In short, the Loreley was a composed song -- but having been taken up and accepted by the people, it has since become a true folksong.」と記載。
