- 曲目解説p.1に「1)」「"SCHLAF KINDLEIN, SCHLAF"[下線付]」「(Sleep baby, sleep)」「Without music and poetry the human soul would surely be stifled. Every mother who sings her child to sleep is instinctively aware of this. Even before it learns to speak the tiny baby experiences the world of sound in this way for the first time in its life. The rhythmic sway of the melody, the gently swinging sound soothes the little child; it listens intently until at last it contentedly falls asleep. The lullaby which originated from this close relationship between mother and child, is one of the oldest of folksongs. So it is only natural that it should have become the earliest and most everlasting of all children's songs.」「The simple little lullaby "Sleep, Baby Sleep" with its delicate and comforting sound, dates back to a version of the 16th century. And since that time numerous variations of it have been sung by young and old in all parts of Germany. In the first verse the father guards his sheep whilst the mother shakes the little dream tree. In the second verse the scene with the sheep is repeated in a symbolically fairy-tale style: now the stars move like lambs across the canopy of the heavens and the moon is the good shepherd.」、p.7に「1)」「Johann Friedrich Reichardt」「Schlaf, Kindchen, schlaf[下線付]」「(Sleep, Baby, Sleep)」「303 884」「Pfälzer Weinkehlchen, Ltg.
