Tan Tan Taiko (A Roll of Drums)」「This is also a ball-bouncing song which has been changed from the song sung when the children threw a ball up into the air while telling a story.」「The singer in this recording is an old man from the Aizu district in Fukushima Prefecture, in the northeastern part of Honshu. It was the site of a small castle town surrounded by mountains.」「Here is the outline of the story sung in this song: "Tiny little drum, if you cannot make a sound without some oil, why don't you go and get it yourself? I wonder what is shining so brightly on the mountain beyond the paddy fields. Oh, that's the shining reputation of the wife of our village headman. We can lend the honor to your neighbor's wife if you promise us not to ask us to borrow it for her again."」「This kind of ball-bouncing song is still sung today in this old castle town in the mountains, where the people are naturally conservative-minded. However, in the passage of time, parts of the song have been dropped here and there, and the story which remains in this and other similar songs has now become totally inconsistent, and so the songs have lost their popularity. Today only the elderly members of the community can sing these songs from memories of their childhood.」と記載。雑資料「JAPANESE NURSERY & CHILDREN'S SONGS」二十六頁にまりつきの絵図あり。
