Ichi de (the first thing he did) when he arrived in our country was to plant his feet powerfully on bags of rice and make a fortune ; ni de (second), he smiled nikkori (sweetly) to make friends with everybody ; san de (third), he held sakazuki (a wine cup) in his hand to drink sake (rice wine) ; yottsu (fourth), he prayed so that all the people in yononaka (the world) might enjoy happiness ; itsutsu (fifth) that everything would continue to go well ; sixth he prayed lest there should be any sickness or disaster ; seventh, for no drastic changes to occur in the people's life ; eighth, for their houses to be greatly enlarged ; ninth, for more storehouses to be added ; and finally for the tenth, he prayed so that the people might live with all the ten blessings mentioned above. Daikoku-sama is the deity who protects our society and bring happiness to us all.
