Ichibi-no-ki, Nihi-no-ki (The First Tree, the Second Tree)」「This, too, is a counting rhyme just like "Daikoku-sama".」「The song recorded here is sung by primary school children in Furuichi Town, Asa County in Hiroshima Prefecture. Furuichi is a farming village in the western part of Honshu.」「This song consists of the numbers from one to ten, the sounds of which are each rhymed with the name of a particular tree as in the following : "Ichibi-no-ki (the first tree), nibi-no-ki (the second tree). San (the third) is sakura (a cherry tree). Shibi-no-ki (the fourth tree). Go (the fifth) is goyo-no-matsu (a five-leaved pine tree). Muttsu (the sixth) is muku-no-ki (an aphananthe aspera). Nanatsu (the seventh) is nashi-no-ki (a pear tree). Yattsu (the eighth) is yanagi-no-ki (a willow tree). Kokonotsu (the ninth) is koume-no-ki (a kind of plum tree known as the koume). And toto (finally) at to (the tenth) a fine house all built of Japanese cypress has been completed."」「Since this area is surrounded by mountains with flourishing forests, this kind of counting rhyme is still sung there today.」と記載。
