This Haka is a famous ""Haka Taparahi"" or men's posture dance of the ""Ngati Porou"" Tribe (tribe of the East Coast of the North Island). This haka includes invocations to make the journey from Hawaiiki a safe one.」「OPENING OF HAKA」「The sacred wind like the food of the Pleiades (a group of stars). (The story is then told about the stormy arrival of ""Horouta"".)」、台本に「Another long canoe of the fleet that set out from Hawaiiki was Horouta. Horouta also landed on the east coast of the North Island, 60 miles south of Takitimu. As they cowered in the centre of the canoe, a high wave lifted Horouta into the air and thrust her inland to the foot of Mt Hikurangi. From the moment Mt. Hikurangi became the sacred mountain for the descendants of the people of the Horouta. As the Maori sailors and their families looked for a place to build their village; they thanked the Gods for their safe arrival and mourned the loss of their Kumara. But their loss was turned to joy when one of the hardiest of the warriors summoned a whale to him, sprang on its back and returned to Hawaiiki for the kumara seed.
