It is made of wood. Turks have carried their "bağlama"s with themselves while they emigrated to Anatolia from Uralo-Altaic steps. "Bağlama"s are constituted in the following parts：body (resonance box), arm (long fretted handle), metal strings, and tuning keys. According to their dimensions and sound ambitus, "bağlama"s are classified into three main groups：i- Jura (the smallest "soprano" size of the family), ii- Bağlama (the middle "alto" size), iii- Divan Saz (the biggest "bass" size).」「d) Percussions：ZİLLİ MAŞA (Jingling Johny) - Iron in tongs shape and jingles added to the ends.／KAŞIK (Wooden spoon) - A couple in each hands, these spoons are to play by hitting the back sides to each other.」との記述あり。
