- 曲目解説に「The second selection is a medley of three traditional "old-time" fiddle tunes performed by Gord Tanner and His Junior Skillet Lickers. "Old-time music", which is also known as hoedown, hillbilly, and good-timey music, is commonly associated with the southeastern or Appalachian region of the United States. Stringed instruments are usually played (hence the term "String band music"), with the fiddle (violin), banjo, mandolin and guitar being the most common. String band music is the forerunner of the now-popular bluegrass music.」「Gord Tanner is the son of the late Gid Tanner, a famous Georgia musician who led one of the great string bands of the 1920's and 1930's, called Gid Tanner and The Skillet Lickers. Gord is carrying on the tradition begun by his father, and plays his music in the style of the original string bands of the southeast United States. The medley in this selection consists of three old American fiddle tunes--Cumberland Gap[下線付], Buckin' Mule[下線付], and Ol' Hen She Cackles[下線付]. The performance was recorded at the 1978 Georgia Grassroots Music Festival, in Atlanta, Georgia.」「2)」「FIDDLE MEDLEY[下線付]:」「Cumberland Gap, Buckin' Mule, and Ol' Hen She Cackles」「Performed by Gord Tanner and His Junior Skillet Lickers」「Instrumentation: fiddle, guitar, banjo」「N.B.」「The term "fiddle" is used to denote any stringed instrument played with a bow, especially the violin. In this script, the term fiddle will refer solely to a violin.」「Me and my wife, an' my wife's chap/ Walked all the way from Cumberland Gap.」「Me and my wife, an' my little dog/ Crossed the creek on a hickory log.」「Hard to ride, can't get a saddle on ya/ Hard to ride, can't get a saddle on--whoa!」「Old hen she cackles, cacklin' alot/ Next time she cackles, cackled in the pot.」「(dur. 4:23[下線付])」と記載(「[Cumberland Gapに]下線」「[Buckin' Muleに]下線」「[Ol' Hen She Cacklesに]下線」「[2)に]赤丸印」の書き込みあり)。
