注記2
注記2:曲目解説pp.1-2に「Emigrant songs[下線付]」「The great wave of emigration between 1840 and 1925, when more than a million Swedes emigrated to North America, has been called the most important event of modern Swedish history.」「The first sizeable emigration was caused by a famine in Sweden at the end of the 1860:s. It was not until the 1880:s and the 1890:s that emigration really picked up speed. There were several reasons for that. The rapid increase in population had created a new group of non-landowners, an agricultural proletariat of farm hands, sharecroppers, etc. There simply wasn't enough arable soil in Sweden, and people had to try their luck elsewhere. Other reasons for emigrating were opposition to spiritual and wordly authority and, not least, the "America fever" which was created by letters and visits from relatives and acquaintances who had been successful in the new country.」「Swedish emigration to North America is the subject of a number of songs, the so-called emigrant songs. The contents of the songs involved taking a position for[下線付] emigration(often with reasons given, such as religious and social ones)or against[下線付] it(songs of warning). The farewell to the fatherland (or home community or relatives)was often depicted. The emigration itself(the trip over and its difficulties)might be either the main subject of a song or a subsidiary one. When the great emigration was to be described in song form, it was natural to use already existing types of songs(such as seamen's songs, religious songs or love songs)as models.」、p.3に「Song 2[下線付]」「(background)」「This is one of the best known Swedish emigrant songs. It was very popular during the latter part of the 19th century and was spread through a form of publication called skillingtryck[下線付](approximately, broadsides). It came to be a pattern for many other emigrant songs.」「Song 2[下線付]」「(contents)」「The song gives a realistic description of how an emigrant's trip to America might be. It is a warning song, telling about the difficult trip across the Atlantic, the shortage of food and the crowded conditions on board the ship.」「Song 2[下線付]」「(performer)」「The song originally had 21 verses, but here only a couple of verses are sung by a woman (Karin Edvardsson) from the central Swedish province of Dalarna. Recording by Sveriges Radio in 1949.」「Music example 2[下線付]」「Time: 1'14"」「(Vi sålde våra hemman - "We sold our homes")」、p.9に「2.」「Vi sålde våra hemman」「We sold our homes」「Karin Edvardsson」「Ma 49/10.660:11」「1'14"」と記載(「[1840 and 1925に]囲い[青色]」「[arableに]耕作に適する」「[Song 2 (contents)に]赤色丸印[と]赤色矢印」「[warning songに]赤色下線」「[difficult tripに]赤色下線」「[Time: 1'14"に]囲い[赤色]」の書き込みあり)。
