雑資料二枚目に「8. ANEKOMOSA 3'28"」、十二枚目に「"ANEKOMOSA" (Akita Prefecture)」「"Pretty girl! Youth is all. Who would want to cut a branch from a cherry tree that bears no blossoms?..... If you think of me as a flower, come to me and pluck me. And when we have to part, let's part cleanly, just as a thin thread snaps." So goes this song.」、十三枚目に「Elegant and refined in expression, it is an ode to love and youth. It has long been sung in Kakunodate, Akita Prefecture, a castle town.」「The word "aneko" means girl in the Akita dialect. The melody has its origin in a tune sung in olden times by the minters of Iwate Prefecture.」「Another theory has it that it was sung by the smelters of Senboku County, Akita Prefecture. Still another theory, however, says that it was originally sung by a samurai of the Satake clan in Kakunodate. Proponents of this theory argue that, judging from the sophisticated tone of the lyrics, the song could not have originated among smelters.」「Mitsue Hayasaka, the vocalist, was born in Tokyo but boasts a large repertory of folk songs of Iwate and Akita Prefectures because her parents come from Iwate. Her vocalization and phrasing are impeccable.」と記載。
